Courses 2012
Tour de Horse - a masterclass with Tod Ramos, the foremost painter of the horse.
This masterclass includes the fundamental anatomy of the horse and the principles
of its’ movement and form using a variety of techniques and mediums. This will enable
those attending to understand the conformation and the varying forms of the different
breeds. We will be studying the indiginous Carmargue, the Andalucian, the Portugese,
the Arab, the throughbred and other breeds of equus. We will be working directly
from our subjects both in the studio and en plein air. This course provides a new
departure for an artist to study another subject and for those already studying
the horse, an opportunity to hone their skills. In the past we have found both professionals
and students alike have benefitted greatly from this fascinating subject.
